Who Am I

I’m a Minneapolis-based transit rider and advocate who can be found taking the Metro Blue and Green lines to work most days.  I was raised in a small Midwestern town where going anywhere meant getting in the car and I never really thought much about it until I moved to Minneapolis for college.  I was suddenly exposed to urban life and all its joys including getting around without the stress of driving everywhere.  I was hooked.

After college I settled into a house in South Minneapolis not far from the Metro Blue line and have been enjoying that location for almost 20 years.  I’ve enjoyed following the development of the MSP transit system over the years and some of my favorite parts of traveling have been experiencing other cities and countries transit systems.  All this eventually led to an Idea; If I enjoy using, exploring, and learning about transit maybe I should start writing about it so here we are.  Transiting Thru Life was born.
